Milton Reid is an accomplished professional with nearly three decades of expertise in the transportation industry and a reputation for excellence in fleet maintenance and management. Milton started his career as an engineer with General Electric and Ford and is now fully embracing the latest phase of disruption in this dynamic industry through his role as a co-founder and partner at Beep.
Before Beep, Milton was with the City of Gainesville, Florida, joining them, first as a Fleet Manager, and progressing to become the General Services Director for the city. Later, he was General Services Director with responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing the operations of building structures, mechanical equipment maintenance and automotive fleet usage, including the development of specifications and contracts and identifying sources for the fleet. After his retirement, he continued consulting with the city, as well as with the Alachua County School Board, the University of Florida, and Okaloosa County, conducting studies and recommending strategies for improving the efficiency and performance of their fleet vehicles.
Milton was also a Chair and a Past President of the Florida Governmental Fleet Administrators (FLAGFA) and a Past President of the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA). He served as Vice Chair, Senior Vice Chair, Immediate Past President, and Regional Trustee for NAFA, was the Reporting Officer for the National Public Safety Group, and served on the I&E Curriculum and I&E Arrangements Committees.
Milton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University in Washington, DC.
