Beep Site Supervisors are player/coaches responsible for service delivery of first mile, last mile micro-transit mobility solutions. As a key member of the Customer Success team, you will be responsible to ensure the safe and compliant operation of our AV shuttles at remote sites through team leadership and accountability.  In this role, you will use your skills in organization, time and task management, and your talent for influencing others, to meet aggressive deadlines.  You will be expected to manage every aspect site readiness and operations from pre-delivery requirements to shuttle and site operations through duration of engagement.  This includes participation in customer kick-off meetings and operations launch, risk assessment and mitigation meetings, resource planning and management, budget adherence, and compliance with service delivery obligations. You will be responsible to deliver project status updates related to your role and identify and manage critical tasks and dependencies with minimal oversight.  You will be expected to ensure customers are familiar with their responsibilities and are managing those dependencies according to schedule.  You will also manage the operations readiness checklist, partnering with our PMO and Command Center leadership to ensure the appropriate staffing and processes are in place to deliver managed services once the deployment is complete.  You will be held accountable to the team’s performance in the criteria of revenue delivery and adherence to service launch commitments. Of critical importance, the most successful candidate will have an eye towards safety, ensuring the foundational elements for safe operation are in place through the deployment to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for future passengers for the duration of the deployment. You will serve as a senior representative of the Customer Success team and work closely with the platform technology team and your team of shuttle attendants to ensure the technology is commissioned and operating safely at all times. You will support the Customer Success leader by framing decisions and their consequences and ensuring that information is complete and clearly communicated. Ultimately, you will be accountable to our customers to ensure Beep solutions are delivered according to service level agreements.

Essential Job Functions:

Project Delivery

  • Assist sales and solution architect with site qualification, as assigned

  • Develop, or assist in the development of, project artifacts and deliverables such site risk assessments, customer requirements related to storage and charging and infrastructure changes

  • Oversee and assist with securement of storage and charging location, required infrastructure changes or other customer requirements as assigned

  • Oversee and assist with installation of technical equipment such as GNSS base, charging stations

  • Partner with PMO to ensure procurement and installation of after-market features (tint, wraps, safety messaging) is scheduled within required project timeline

  • Oversee the installation of after-market features and accessories

  • Oversee and assist with onsite receipt and preparation of shuttles with maintenance team and customer

  • Partner with marketing and communications to support external facing activities related to first responder training, community engagement and communications, launch event(s)

 

Demand Planning and Operations Readiness

  • Develop passenger demand models based on historical and projected data from other projects and customer feedback

  • Develop and optimize shuttle operating schedules based on customer goals and expectations

  • Partner with HR to recruit and hire resources to fulfill operations expectations

  • Ensure attendants have been adequately trained and prepared to fulfill operations expectations

  • Accept operations handover from technical resources

 

Operations and Management

  • Serve as team lead for attendants

  • Attend shuttles as required to fill shift requirements and/or callouts (10-20%)

  • Create and manage attendant schedules

  • Manage onsite personnel and resolve issues

  • Identify and resolve site or operational safety risks

  • Partner with local emergency responders, as required

 

Compliance and Reporting

  • Comply with U.S. Department of Transportation laws and regulations

  • Prepare and/or analyze documentation and reporting related to fleet readiness and operations performance

  • Contribute to vehicle performance and safety enhancement product development roadmap by tracking and communicating issues encountered during deployment and operations

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher in Business, Technical Operations or related degree

  • 3+ years experience as a people leader in a fast adapting environment

  • 3+ years experience working in the automotive or trucking industry including fleet and operator management experience; autonomous fleet experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience meeting with customers and providing feedback

  • Experience managing a process in an operations environment

  • Ability to work with Technical Engineers, Fleet Operations and Executives

  • Strict attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts

  • Unafraid to roll up their sleeves to help get the job done

  • Levelheaded leader who leads by example, understands the situation, assesses the best course of action and then executes on that action

  • Thorough knowledge of the federal, state and local regulations relating to the autonomous / fleet industry.

  • Minimum 5 years valid driver’s license, with current state driver’s license.

  • Must have a clear driving record.

  • Must be able to pass background and reference checks.

  • CAFM is advantageous or equivalent certification in the industry preferred.
