Director, Human Resources (Orlando, Florida)

The Human Resources Director will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for multiple strategic talent initiatives to drive a high-performance culture. Key areas of focus include organizational design, talent management (recruitment, development, and retention), workforce planning, compensation and benefits, performance management, talent reviews/succession planning, positive employee relations, and leadership development. This role will also provide information to leadership to support management decision-making about policy issues, employee relations, staff development needs, compensation & benefits practices and costs & recruitment practices. The Human Resources Director will possess a strong mix of business acumen, consulting skills, and HR expertise to ensure the needs of the business and employees are balanced to achieve our corporate priorities.

This is a full-time position located in our Lake Nona office.


  • Serve as a visible, involved and engaged leader to employees throughout the organization

  • Lead all Human Resource initiatives, systems and strategies

  • Partner with the executive team and senior management to align the organizational structure, practices and communication with the Company’s strategy and culture

  • Work with management of all levels on a variety of HR and business-related issues, both strategic and operational

  • Lead organizational development efforts, including: management training, leadership development, performance review process, onboarding and interview training

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle; onboarding, off-boarding and employee changes

  • Lead semi-annual performance review process

  • Maintain employee records and manage payroll processing

  • Report Human Resource metrics to senior management

  • Oversee and guide talent acquisition process and resourcing needs

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Essential Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of human resources experience across multiple areas of HR expertise

  • BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent experience, PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, a plus

  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives while maintaining a balance between “the big picture” and day-to-day events

  • Collaborative and communicative; ability and desire to present new HR ideas and strategies

  • Self-aware leader with strong executive presence, sound judgement, influencing and coaching skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize requests; ability to multi-task and to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines while producing timely and accurate deliverables

  • Known for high quality results that positively impacting the business

  • Forward-thinking and creative; remains current on the latest trends and best practices

  • Self-directed, strong work ethic

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships
